![]() ![]() I have no idea what to do to fix this! Please help me. I'm not sure what other information might be relevant. I have Verizon internet, the little icon at the bottom right corner of utorrent is a yellow error triangle, I am using Windows XP. tried with VPN off, also tried with Firewall off just in case it was a factor but it still happens : (. saying timed out waiting for message from server any advice will be appreciated. I've put all my settings back to normal, save for what the setup guide recommended. My bandwidths immediately times out whenever I run a speed test. I have removed and recreated the authorization in my firewall at least twice now. so far, they're having the same issue and I prefer utorrent though!). I am using a new download of utorrent (I thought utorrent might work better than Vuze. My network connection is fine, and when doing a speed test at I get a 3.05 mbps download speed with a. I've also disabled my antivirus from possibly blocking utorrent. Every time there is no upload speed, no download speed, and every time my speed test fails. I have followed all instructions on the setup guide, including: enabling protocol encryption, authorizing utorrent with my Windows firewall, trying out various torrents, etc. Tested with all locations, and all speeds. It's the initial connection that is bugging me, it takes so long that my iphone usually stops loading (it is running safari of course.).Connection failed error: Timed our. ![]() Once i had connected though (on my laptop, in a good wifi connection, using firefox), the time taken to interact with my server is very quick (much quicker than vnc), things like pausing and resuming torrents etc Most of the time it then comes up with the transmission logo and "Connection Failed - could not load the server, you may need to reload the page to reconnect" The initial connection time is still slow as hell (using firefox, i usually use chrome) - it takes maybe a minute to connect? On my iphone (on 3G connection) it usually stops working all together, sometimes it will eventually (after 3 or 4 minutes) load the web ui. I have tried limiting my transfers (well, actually, they had all finished.), and here's what i found. I have a static external and internal IP, and the port forwarding seems to have worked ok.Īnyway, does anyone have any idea of why it would be so slow/not working? I've left all the options as defaults afaik. The router is some nasty Thomson Speedtouch thing Not staggeringly quick, but i would imagine fast enough to load the remote access UI? So I have a Virgin Media router in Modem Mode and the ASUS router in WIFI mode. I have also added an ASUS router to my network. I have AVG Free anti virus and have turned it off and it makes no difference. Having run a test, i get around 12 MBPS download and 1MBPS upload. So I do the setup guide in preferences and the speed test fails waiting for message from server. I've done the port forwarding properly (it does eventually load), but it won't load the torrents that i have running, with it sometimes saying that communication with the server has failed, and other times simply not loading anything apart from the top menu. Strangely though, the remote interface seems even slower than using VNC. ![]() I am not trying out the Transmission remote access (on Mac OS), as i assumed it would be much faster to load a few lines of html than an entire image of my screen. ![]() I've always used VNC to get into my home server to monitor torrents, and that has always worked fine, although fairly slowly. Hi all, bit of a noob here, so please bear with me. ![]()
